Tapered trousers by dirk bikkembergs hommes (1990s). Made from lightweight grey linen-rayon with some texture, they are sans pocket, apart from one on the front that can be detached. The mechanism is nifty in its execution: the ‘pocket bag’ (or arguably free-standing pouch) can be unbuttoned and removed, but the flap that sits over it can then be buttoned to the button underneath. You’re left with a flap that looks like a pocket even when the pocket is gone.
